  1. I went in at lunchtime and asked for a pint and an all day breakfast. The staff just went on about ‘hard hats’ and ‘health and safety’ and pushed me out on to the pavement. Repeated requests for information about the guest beers were ignored. If this IS the new ‘Spoons then I’d say even the other Ormskirk pubs haven’t got much to worry about. Well, most of them.

    Might pop back in the morning to see if the breakfast service is any better.

  2. If it is they should definitely build some form of secret passageway (maybe through the back of a cloakroom, or something) into the Shamraat. It would clearly shave ooh, at least 50 yards off the walk round the corner!

  3. If entrance was through a ‘back passage’, then surely you’d end up in the ‘Back Passage to India’.

  6. student accom upstairs and building to the rear.. There is a ground floor retail unit not big enough for spoons but there is another bar coming to ormskirk… Snooooze. Its all bars bars betting shops and pie shops and yet more charity shops. Does no one wear decent clothes round here???
