The students’ union has organised a coachload of its members to go down to the demonstration next Wednesday (November 10) organised by the National Union of Students. -
TRAINEE teachers at Ormskirk’s Edge Hill University have put on their own version of TV show The Apprentice.
The students turned their classroom into a mock boardroom to deliver teaching sessions to 17 and 18-year-olds studying A-Levels at Saints Peter and Paul’s Catholic College in Widnes.
The aim was to give students a taste of higher education and boost the trainees’ skills.

Edge Hill University’s corporate communications team are taking a step Back to the Future for a sponsored walk to mark the institution’s 125th anniversary. They will walk the 15 miles from the original university site in Edge Hill, Liverpool, back to the Ormskirk campus. The event will raise money for the Alumni Fund.

MASS violence and the Holocaust will be in the spotlight at a special lecture at Ormskirk’s Edge Hill university on Wednesday.
Dr Jean-Marc Dreyfus, from the University of Manchester, will from 2pm deliver the talk, which will include a look at compensation paid to victims of Nazi crimes, memorials and exhumations of corpses.
The talk, which will be held in room H204, in the Faculty of Health, will look at international agreements.
